A strong CV is clear, concise, and tailored. Aim for one to two pages that highlight your most relevant experiences and achievements. Use a clean layout, include grades or quantifiable results, and let your personality shine by sharing your personal hobbies or extracurriculars. Skip the photo to help us keep the process unbiased. Your cover letter is your chance to show us who you are beyond your CV. Tell us why Maersk and internal consulting excite you, elaborate on what drives your interest in joining MMC, and how your background and personality make you a great fit. Be specific, be authentic, and let us see why this role is the right next step for you. And yes, we do read them carefully.

What to expect from the interview process

The interview process at MMC consists of two rounds, at times complemented by additional connects, combining both case interviews and more personal interviews, also known as "meet interviews".

In the first round, you will complete two case interviews that each are complemented with a meet interview part, followed by a feedback session. Candidates who progress to the second round will participate in an additional set of interviews, with the exact number and type of interviews depending on the position you are applying for.

Debrief session

Our people are what makes MMC a special place to work. Therefore, the hiring decision is a big decision that we do not take lightly. We want to welcome new colleagues to the team who want to contribute to our team and culture.

When you have completed both interview rounds, all of our interviewers submit their feedback prior to our debrief session. To ensure a fair process for all applicants and to help us mitigate bias, the feedback is submitted via a survey before the session. Once the feedback is submitted, we discuss the interviewees performance in plenum. To alleviate the risk of groupthink, the team of interviewers appoint one person in the session to act as the devil’s advocate, challenging the perceptions of our interviewers during the debrief session and make sure that our observations are well-founded.

We know how excited you are to hear back from us, so as soon as we have come to an agreement, we look forward to giving you a call to tell you about the decision. As a rule of thumb, we do our best to call you back later that same day or the next coming business day.
